Becoming a WY-FI Peer Mentor

What do I need to become a WY-FI Peer Mentor?

To become a WY-FI Peer Mentor you must have:

  • previous experience of volunteering or peer mentoring (supporting people)
  • lived experience of at least two of the following:
    • homelessness
    • addiction to drugs, substances and/or alcohol
    • re-offending behaviour
    • mental ill health

How do I become a WY-FI Peer Mentor?

We recruit Peer Mentors four times a year. The next WY-FI Peer Mentor course will begin in August 2017.

What happens next?

When we receive your Expression of Interest form and if you are suitable for a WY-FI role, we will invite you to an induction session to discuss your application.

What training will I receive?

When the induction is complete, WY-FI Peer Mentors take part in a 12 week training course. Find out more
